Emily & Philip’s Wedding Menu Illustrations
Specially commissioned to honour some of the key moments that created their love -story.
“I got married in early May and decided that I wanted illustrations for our reception hall just a couple of months before. I had the idea of naming each of our 3 reception hall tables after a meaningful place in my husband and I’s relationship - where we met, our first flat together, and where we got engaged. I wanted illustrations of each of these locations to be put on the backs of our standing A5 menus on the tables. I initially wasn’t sure whether it would be feasible given the quick turnaround - but Alice made it happen and her illustrations surpassed my expectations.
Alice painstakingly illustrated all three locations (one of which was a mountain/beach landscape, so admittedly not the easiest) - based on an amalgamation of photos I’d sent her (including some slightly blurry Google Maps photos!). She is incredibly talented and detail-oriented, and was very communicative throughout the process. We’ve now been left with beautiful illustrations that we are going to get printed and framed for our home (also through Alice!).
Thank you Alice for bringing my vision to light - the illustrations are beautiful mementos for us now, and I know I’ll be back for more!”
